What’s Your Excuse

Friday, October 18th, 2013

So, what’s your excuse for not coming to the Three Irish Girls Trunk Show this weekend?
.

1. I don’t have a “golden ticket” – YOU DON’T NEED ONE!
You just need to show up on Saturday or Sunday and give us 15-20 minutes of your time seaming up a square or two before you get the ticket. So YES you can come tomorrow or Sunday and get in!
.

2. I don’t know how to seam – YOU DON’T NEED TO KNOW HOW!
We’ll teach you that day! We’ll even provide the darning needles!
.

3. I don’t need anymore yarn – YES YOU DO!
Come on now…we all know you could handle one more skein.
.

See you Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th!

She came, she saw, she left stuff!

Monday, January 24th, 2011

Our friend Sharon from Three Irish Girls was in the shop on Saturday afternoon for a lovely, lively workshop.  She talked about lots of stuff, mostly how the heck to make the beautiful yarn we buy work for the projects we want!  Fun was had by all!
.
If you couldn’t make it, never fear…we have tons of yarn left.  Sharon left it all for us!
.
We also have a bunch of copies of all of her patterns in the house.

3IG Meets DKA

Saturday, July 17th, 2010

We had a great day today at the Three Irish Girls Workshop.  Sharon came prepared for fun.   She brought so many beautiful yarns which included many we know and love as well as her lovely new fall colors.  She even through in a few one of a kinds.
.

.

.

.

Sharon was charming and funny and exactly the way we imagined she would be.
.

.

.

Sharon taught us how to make the most of hand dyed yarns.  Did we want to increase pooling or did we want to avoid it?  And before you ask.  NOPE, you can’t get that amazing purple and yellow yarn, she dyed it special for us…for this class.   She promised that she made it ugly on purpose:)
.

.

.

We enjoyed a great lunch from REVE 324, just down the road from us on Main Street.  Yum.
.

.

.

A great time had by all.  Thanks to Sharon for a fun event!  We’ll be doing this again, so keep an eye on our newsletters for updates.
.
If you missed the event today, we have lots and lots of lovely yarn that Sharon left with us.  Come check them out!

Darn Knit Anyway is giddy.
.
We get to welcome Sharon from Three Irish Girls for a workshop.
.

The class is from 10-1, on July 17th.   She’ll talk all about knitting with hand dyed yarns.  Do you like the pooling, hate the pooling…she’ll explain it all to you.  We’ll have time for practice, questions, and perusing the special yarns she is planning to bring with her.  This class is for knitters of all levels, from beginner to advanced.   All you need to bring is a pair of size 7 needles, cause you’re gonna want  to swatch these yarns.
.
Call us 651-342-1386 or email us aimee@darnknitanyway.com to register.  Space is limited, so call your friends and made a day of it in Stillwater.
.
Here is the event flyer…I think you should print it and hang it on your fridge.
