Shop Hop 2013

.
We are soooo excited to be participating again in the Minnesota Yarn Shop Hop!
.
New to the Shop Hop?  It’s pretty simple really.  Twin Cities area yarn stores are partnering to help fill food shelves around the metro and you can help!
.
Visit 16 amazingly terrific yarn shops in the greater Twin Cities area over 4 days.  Each shop has commissioned a hand dyed yarn specific to their shop, available for purchase, and just for walking into the shop you get a free pattern featuring that yarn.  Check out our beautiful yarn from last year.   Our theme this year is the St. Croix River.  Wait until you see the yarn and pattern for this year!
.
Make a donation to the food shelf and you get a free charm.  Last year visitors to our stores helped us donate 5,700 pounds of food and supplies and over $5000 in cash to many different food shelf partner.  We hope to exceed that this year!

Shop Hop 2013 Charming Possibilities

.
There are also lots of chances to win prizes.  Just for walking into a shop, you get your name entered into a prize drawing for that day.  Each shop will draw 3 names a day!  Make it to all 16 shops in the 4 days of the hop and you get entered into the grand prize.  This prize is HUGE.  It is full of yarn, needles, books and notions and last year was valued at over $2,000.  WHAT?  There is also a first prize winner selected for each shop from the finishers.  Like I said…lots of ways to win.

Think you might want to join us?  Click here for more details.
.
We hope to see you April 11th – 14th.  We LOVE the shop hop and we hope you do too!

Our pattern was designed by Carly as a tribute to our London born and raised Grandmother, Nanny Jean!  We think it’s a close to perfect as it could get!   If you can get to our shop during the hop the pattern is free.  Otherwise, click here for a $5 Ravelry download.

The fifth annual Yarn Shop Hop is April 7 – 10, 2011.
.
This is the biggest Shop Hop yet with nine of the Twin Cities’ area best yarn shops participating. To begin your fiber journey, pick up driving directions and an entry card at any one of the shops listed. At each shop, get your entry form stamped and pick up a free pattern for a unique Yarn Quest 2011 knitting project. A completed entry form, stamped at each and every shop, qualifies you to enter the drawing for the Grand Prize valued at over $2,000 of knitting supplies or one of nine First Prizes full of knitting goodies. At the same time you can also enter your name for exciting door prize drawings at each shop.

.

The first day of the Shop Hop is Thursday, April 7th. You can complete the Shop Hop all in one day or spread it out over four days.
.

LIMITED EDITION YARN: To enhance your fiber journey each shop has commissioned a limited edition hand dyed yarn. Each shop will have its own yarn that will be featured in the free pattern given to Shop Hop visitors.

.

HELP STOCK LOCAL FOOD SHELVES: Each shop will have a limited quantity of unique, collectible charms that will be yours in exchange for your donation of cash (the suggested donation is $5 per shop) or non-perishable food items to a local food shelf chosen by each shop. If you prefer, you can make a $5 purchase at each shop to qualify for the charm. In addition, your completed entry card along with the qualifying donation or purchase will entitle you to a pin to easily display all your charms (only one purchase is required at the final stop for that shop’s charm and the pin). Come early while supplies last.
