Our November Makers Kit was supposed to be a piece of cake, a breeze, a cakewalk, a walk in the park, child's play, a cinch!
The yarn for this month is Laines Du Nord Slipper. A very fun yarn that knits up a pair of slippers that match! We were all in. It was a shoo-in! See what we did there?
We had high hopes, but the pattern that was suggested with the yarn wasn't very clear. It just wasn't something we could send you home with and feel confident about.
After a bit of trial and error (see the photo above), we did find a great slipper pattern.
It's called Felted Slipper Boots and it's pretty straight forward. You can see that slipper with the hot pink trim below
You'll get a hard copy of the pattern in the kit, but it's here on Ravelry if you want to check it out.
To be clear, the slippers on the label of the yarn, are NOT the pattern you are getting in your kit. If you just HAVE to have that original slipper pattern from the label of the yarn, you can click here. But, it's work at your own risk:)
Because Aimee couldn't leave well enough alone, she designed this cute bucket. It comes in 2 sizes; small or large and it doesn't have to fit anyone! Huzzah!!
So, if you aren't into slippers, or worrying about something fitting someone, how about a brand new pattern of ours we are happily calling...
It's Not a Slipper!
You'll get the Felted Slipper Boots AND the It's Not a Slipper pattern in your kit.
And how cute is the patch for this month? A turkey hat? Sure:) First 100 kits sold get a patch!
1 skein makes a pair of slippers or a bucket!
Each kit includes:
1 skein Laines du Nord Slippers 219 yards/200 grams
Hard copies of It's Not a Slipper AND Felted Slipper Boots.
You'll need US 11 needles for the slipper or the bucket. We used 24" or 32" circular needles.
