October's yarn is inspired by something spooky!

Veronica, the dyer for Dream in Color says

"It’s spooky October and this month’s color is inspired by the haunted statue in Graceland Cemetery called Eternal Silence. Sooooo creepy!
You might think that a cemetery breaks with my garden theme. I know that not everyone thinks of cemeteries as “gardens” but some of the best heirloom roses, azaleas, lilacs and hydrangea’s can be found there. If you go visit one bring your garden shears to get some cutting to propagate.
Almost every city has a beautiful cemetery and I’ve been to more than my fair share… I went through a “cemetery phase” where I visited one in just about every city I went to. My list of favorites include Pere Lachaise in Paris, Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond VA, St Louis Cemetery in New Orleans and Graceland Cemetery in Chicago. Do you have a favorite cemetery? Does your town need to be on my list?
Happy Halloween!!!

September's yarn is so beautiful! We'll let the dyer tell you all about it.

"I am continuing last month's garden theme…because I love gardens! This month’s color is inspired by the very lovely garden at a vineyard in Napa called Frog’s Leap. This vineyard is so beautiful! They have a gorgeous koi pond and a flower/veggie garden. We had the most amazing day there about 10 years back. It was one of those days that sticks in your memory. Nancy and I happened to show up on a day with the tasting room was closed for a special event, the first pressing of that year’s green grape harvest. Although it was an employee only event the owner welcomed us like we were family and allowed us to join in the festivities. Such hospitality.  I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for their wines ever since that day!" - Veronica
