Knit 102 - Ribbed Hat

You have started your knitting journey. The knit and purl stitch is going well, and tension is coming along. Now what? Take Knit 102 and expand your skills. In this class, we will make a basic hat. Utilizing the knit and purl stitch, we will add to your skills with knitting in the round, decreasing stitches, and reading a pattern.  

There's a one-week break between the first and second class sessions to allow students to complete their knitting "homework."

Class:  Knitting 102, DKA Ribbed Hat
Skills required: Longtail cast on, Knit & purl stitches.
You will learn: Knitting in the round, using stitch markers & decreasing.

Supplies Needed:  

• DKA Ribbed Hat pattern will be provided at first class
• US 9, 16 inch circular needles
• US 9 double pointed needles or 32 inch circle needle
• 1 skein of Bulky weight yarn (Approximately 130 yards)  We suggest Malabrigo Chunky or Encore Chunky for this class.  
• 1 tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Stitch Markers

Register early. Classes with less than three registrations will be canceled 72 hours before the start date, and participants will be given a full refund. Student cancellations may be made up to 48 hours before the first class. No refunds for cancellations will be made within 48 hours of class.
