Ewetopia Mill and Fiber Shop Tour

Tickets for the August 22 tour go on sale Thursday, July 23 at 10am.

It's time for another Darn Knit Anywhere Adventure!

Buckle up for a road trip into the wilds of Wisconsin in search of yarny fun at Ewetopia Fiber Shop and the Ewetopia Fiber Mill.

We have a full day planned for you.

Our motor coach bus will depart from Darn Knit Anyway on Saturday, August 8 at 8:00am en route to our first stop at Ewetopia Fiber Shop in Viroqua, Wisconsin. We will have at least an hour to shop before we board the bus again to visit the Ewetopia Fiber Mill in La Farge.

During the drive from Viroqua to La Farge, you will enjoy a box lunch. (You will select your lunch from a menu before the trip)

Ewetopia owner Kathryn will give us a private tour of her new mill location, and we will learn how wool goes from a freshly shorn fleece to a skein of yarn.

You are in for an amazing day!

The Details:
When: The bus will leave DKA at 8:00am and arrive back at DKA around 5:30pm. Drive time each way is approximately 3.25 hours.
Cost: $160, includes transportation, box lunch, visit to Ewtopia Fiber Shop, private tour of Ewetopia Fiber Mill, Darn Knit Anywhere Adventure bag and button.
Not Included: Road trip snacks and beverages, and a good project to work on during the drive.
Parking information: Due to the off site, all day nature of the event, our shop parking lot will not be available. We just don't have enough spaces for a busload! Parking is $1 per hour in the Stillwater City Parking lot next to our building.

-------------------------

Are you new to Ewetopia Yarns? Well, you are in for a treat.

Kathryn opened the yarn store in 2007 and has grown it to a 4,000 square foot yarn store!! They carry Ewetopia Yarns, of course, but they also carry other commercial yarns like Berroco, Green Mountain Spinnery, Patagonia, Lopi, Noro...and many more. They carry felting supplies, needles, and BUTTONS too. They sell art supplies and natural toys from a Waldorf School. They have your crafting needs taken care of:)

And the Fiber Mill? In 2017, while raising 4 kids, she opened a full-fiber mill! In addition to their own line of yarn and wool, they process wool for shepherds from around the region. Kathryn is a force. The mill washes, picks, cards, pin drafts, spins, and make core-spun rug yarn too. Don't know what any of that means, but LOVE yarn and fiber and supporting amazing women? This trip is just for you!
