Reading Knitting Charts

Ready to move beyond stockinette stitch, but charted patterns feel intimidating? This class will help you read charts with confidence.
In this one-session, lecture-style class, we'll break down four common chart types: colorwork, lace, cables, and mosaic. Using real pattern examples, you'll learn how to:

  • Interpret chart symbols
  • Follow charts for both in-the-round and flat knitting
  • Understand sizing and repeat sections
  • Keep your place as you work

Time permitting, students are welcome to bring a charted pattern to ask specific questions.

Designed for adventurous beginners and up, this class is ideal for knitters comfortable with basic patterns who are ready to take the next step.
