4 in 12 - Staffin Lite

We're excited to announce the second project in our 4 in 12 Knit-A-Long for 2026!

It's the Staffin Lite by Rebecca Clow.

This KAL begins on Zoom on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

The Staffin Lite has several versions that are perfect for your spring and summer wardrobe: a short or long sleeve Tee in fingering weight or DK weigh yarn, or a Vest in fingering weight or DK weight yarn. The sweaters are knit top down and feature many different textured patterns.

Not sure if the Tee or Vest is for you? Rebecca has a whole family of Staffin patterns, including the Staffin Shawl, Staffin Kids, and the original Staffin pattern with a pullover, cardigan, and vest all knit in worsted weight yarn. You are welcome to join the KAL and knit any of the Staffin designs. Choose your own Staffin adventure!

The Staffin Lite will be a fun project for knitters at a variety of levels.
If you are trying to decide whether this project is your skill level, you should be comfortable with:
- knitting and purling in the round, working textured stitches.
- making German Short Row double stitches and resolving them knit-wise and purl-wise.
- working make one right increases in K and P, and make one left increases in K and P.
- reading charts

New to 4 in 12? It's a free quarterly knit-a-long that meets every other week on zoom in the morning and the evening. On the opposite Wednesdays, an in-person study hall meets in the mornings at the Makers Lounge. We knit 4 projects in 12 months!

This is a knit along, not a traditional "class". You won't get specific instruction from us as you are knitting. We all knit this sweater together, but at our own pace, and discover the 'quirks' of the pattern together. We will do our best to answer questions when they come up, but this is not a formal class. We look forward to knitting along with you!

During Zoom sessions, extensive demonstrations may be limited. We do our best to answer as many questions as we can and help as many people as possible! If you are wanting some one-on-one help, we recommend attending the Study Hall In-Person classes on the opposite Wednesdays as the Zooms. If you are unable to attend Study Hall, we ask that you call and make an appointment so we can assure that one of our staff is available to assist you.
You may or may not have experience with some of these techniques, and we anticipate that everyone will be at different learning stages throughout this knit-a-long.
