Knotty But Nice- Cabling without a Cable Needle Class - Zoom

Are you someone who wants to try something new in the new year? Are you a new knitter who wants to try doing cables? Do you want to learn how to knit cables without a cable needle? Then this is the class for you! This is a great class for someone who is new to cables and learning how to read a cable chart in addition to making the cables without a cable needle.

Class: Knotty But Nice- Cabling without a Cable Needle Class 
Skills Required: Knitting and purling, decreasing, knitting in the round. 
You will learn: How to do cabling from a chart pattern without using a cable needle

Supplies Needed: 

• Knotty but Nice pattern free on Ravelry
• Approximately 220 yards (201 m) of Worsted Weight Yarn and needles to get gauge. Suggested yarns: La Bien Aimee Confetti), Cascade MeriSeta, Nua Worsted - Stolen Stitches by Carol Feller - 5056278003996 (2 skeins), Cascade Woolpaka - 886904073476, Soft Donegal - Studio Donegal, Cascade 220 Superwash Merino - 886904046548, Woolstok 150gram)
• 1 16 inch US 7/4.5mm circular needle
• 1 set US 7/4.5mm double-point needles or US 7/4.5 circular needles with  22 inches or larger for magic loop
• 1 beginning of round marker and 4 stitch markers (or 5 stitch markers with one being uniquely different from the other 4)
• 1 Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Homework for first class: Using circular needle, CO 120 stitches. Place marker and join to begin working in the round, being careful not to twist.
Round 1: P1, k2, [p2, k2] to last st, p1. This round sets 2x2 Rib for hat.
Continue in 2x2 Rib until work measures 1.25 inches.

Class 1 will start at Round 1 of chart.
