Skills required: Comfortable with knit and purl stitch, long-tail cast on, knitting flat and in the round
You will learn: Anatomy of your stitches; improving and troubleshooting knit/purl stitches and long-tail cast on; how to create and interpret swatches; body measurements and ease; "Magic of Gauge Triangle;" fiber fundamentals

This workshop will cover the first four lessons in Patty Lyons' Tips & Tricks workbook. There is no homework involved; instead, class time will be dedicated to knitting the various swatches together. Day 1 (Friday) will cover the lessons on Fundamentals and Long-Tail Cast-On; Day 2 (Saturday) will focus on Gauge and Patterns.
Schedule:
Friday, February 21 - 1:00-4:00pm
Saturday, February 22 - 10:00am-4:00pm (1 hour break for lunch with food provided)
Location: DKA Makers Lounge

Supplies Required: Patty Lyons' Knitting Bag of Tricks book and workbook; 50g worsted weight yarn (light color works best); corresponding needles (circular 16" or 24"); a ruler for measuring gauge.
