Class Name: Silent Pines Mitts
Description: Treat yourself to a luxurious pair of mittens as you join Lori in knitting this unique slipped stitch cabling pattern. The pattern includes two options - full-size mittens and a fingerless version. The two-stitch cables can be knit with or without a cable needle, depending on your preference.
Skills Required: Comfortable knitting in the round using either DPNs or Magic Loop; rib stitch; increasing and decreasing; some experience with reading stitch pattern charts is helpful, but not required.
What You'll Learn: Cabling with and without a cable needle; reading a pattern chart; creating a thumb gusset; picking up stitches

Supplies Needed:
- Silent Pines Mittens pattern (available on Ravelry)
- US 2.5 & US 4 needles (or size needed to get gauge) - DPN or 32" for Magic Loop
- 219 yards of DK weight yarn (slightly less needed for fingerless mitts). We suggest Juniper Moon Fibers Herriot!
- Cable needle (optional); darning needle; waste yarn or stitch holder; stitch markers
