Fiber Prep Workshop
Take your spinning experience to the next level in this comprehensive workshop on fiber preparation. Meg will demonstrate how to wash and process raw wool, how to prepare wool for spinning with a drum carder, hand cards, combs and hackle. Meg will also teach you how to work with braids, batts and rolags. You will try your hand at all these preparations and have time to spin what you make.

Supplies required:

A working spinning wheel (EEW available in store) and several bobbins.

Bring hand cards or other fiber processing tools if you have them. Hand cards, blending board, and brushes available in store. The instructor will have a drum carder, blending board, hand cards, combs and a hackle, but they will be a shared resource.

One ounce clean fleece. Available for purchase from instructor at class for $5.

One four ounce braid of hand dyed spinning fiber. Bring your own, or purchase in store.
Water, coffee, and tea will be available during class.
Students are given a 10% discount for supplies needed for class and any purchases at the shop during class days, excluding sale items, gift cards, classes, and events. Dreaming robot items are excluded.

Student cancellations may be made up to 48 hours before the first class. No refunds for cancellations will be made within 48 hours of class.*
