My First Socks

There is nothing like a great pair of hand-knit socks! Learn the basics of sock knitting and construction in this 3 part class. In this class, the socks will be knit utilizing a magic loop.

Class: My First Socks
Skills required: Long tail cast on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, working the magic loop technique.
You will learn: Heel, Gusset, decrease, Kitchener or Finchley grafting.
Location: DKA Makers' Lounge

Supplies Needed for class:

The pattern is a shop pattern and will be provided in the first class.
1 -2 skeins of worsted weight. Approximately 300 yards for adult medium and 350 yards for adult large.
- Yarns we recommend: Berroco Vintage Handpaint, Berroco Vintage, Cascade 220 Superwash Wave, Encore Worsted Colorspun, Malabrigo Rios, Uptown Worsted Hues
US5 circular needles, 32 or longer

Students are given a 10% discount for supplies needed for class and any purchases at the shop during class days, excluding sale items, gift cards, classes, and events.

Register early. Classes with fewer than three students will be canceled 72 hours before the start date, Participants will receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued for registration canceled 72 hours before class.
