Introduction to Colorwork



Ready to take the plunge into colorwork?  Maybe you are looking to improve your colorwork skills?  Perhaps you are doing colorwork one handed and would like to learn where do not have to drop the yarn when changing colors.  Lori is here to help you learn the two handed technique and charts on a small project in one session.  This headband is a great project to learn working with two hands and tension.  

Class:  Colorwork Headband
Skill Level:  Adventurous Beginner-Intermediate,  must be very comfortable with castling on,  knitting and purling.

Supplies Needed: 
  • A copy of the Norwegian Rose Pattern by Kristin Myrmel.  Available for free on Ravelry.  
  • 250 yards of two high contrasting finger weight yarns,  500 yards of total yardage.  
  • US 2.5-16 inch circular needle
  • Stitch makers
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Scissors

Homework:  Please come to class with first section of the pattern,  finish to the "this will create the edge for folding".   

Students are given a 10% discount for supplies needed for class and any purchases at the shop during class days, excludes sale items, classes and events. 

*Please register early.   Classes with less than 3 registrations, 72 hours prior to the start date, will be canceled and participants will be given a full refund.  Student Cancellations may be made up to 48 hours before the first class is held. No refunds for cancellations will be made within 48 hours of class.*
