Butterfly and Cocoon

Expand your skills with toy making.  This makes a wonderful keepsake gift for any child.  Toy making looks hard,  those small items,  grafting and stuffing.  Let our gnome expert Heather show you how you can make this project in our 3 session class.   Heather will teach you everything you need to know from starting the project,  stuffing as you go and how to finish the small details.   It is a great small project as the weather warms up.

Skill Level:  Intermediate,  need be comfortable with magic loop, increases and decreasing

• Butterfly and Cocoon Pattern by Susan B. Anderson.  Available to purchase at DKA or via Ravelry
• US 3 and 5 circular needle,  suggested 32 inch or preferred length for magic loop
• 150 yards of sport weight yarn,  pattern suggests 50 yards in three different colors.  
• Tapestry needle
• Removable stitch markers
• Black embroidery floss (safety eyes can be used but is considered a choking hazard for infants/small children,  floss is recommended)
• Waste yarn
• Scissors

Students are given a 10% discount for supplies needed for class and any purchases at the shop during class days,  excluding sale items,  classes and events.  

*Please register early.   Classes with less than 3 registrations, 72 hours prior to the start date, will be canceled and participants will be given a full refund.  Student Cancellations may be made up to 48 hours before the first class is held. No refunds for cancellations will be made within 48 hours of class.*
