
Toe Up Socks

Step up your sock knitting skills with this toe-up adventure! In this three-part class, Lori will guide you through every step of knitting a perfectly fitting sock, from casting on at the toe to shaping a comfortable gusset heel with short rows. You’ll master gauge, customize the fit, and work one sock at a time using the magic loop method. By the end, you’ll have the confidence—and the know-how—to knit cozy, beautiful socks from the toe up every time.
Class: Toe Up Socks
Skills required: must be very comfortable knitting, purling, and working the magic loop technique. Don't know how to Magic loop? Take this class first.
Skills you will learn: Judy's Magic Cast-On, different increasing and decreasing techniques (KFB, M1, SSK, K2tog), gusset shaping, short row heel turn, perfect fit tips and tricks, Jeni's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off.

Supplies Needed:
- DKA Toe-Up Sock pattern (will be provided at first class)
- Approximately 450 yards (100 grams) of fingering weight sock yarn
- US 1 or US 2 circular needle (or whatever size is necessary to achieve gauge), 32"/80cm
- Stitch markers x 2
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
