Toe Up Socks



Let's face it, if you are going to make a hand knit pair of socks you want a great fit. Lori loves this method and pattern and cannot wait to share her tips with you. She will walk you through gauge, fit, and how to start from the toe up in this three-part class. These socks will be done one at a time using the magic loop method.  

Class: Toe Up Socks
Skills required: the knit stitch, the purl stitch, working the magic loop technique.

Skills you will learn: Judy's Magic Cast-On, increasing, gusset, heel, and Jeni's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off

Supplies Needed:  

  • Vanilla Sock with Gusset & Heel of Choice Pattern by Jo Torr, free on Ravelry. Student MUST download pattern from Ravelry and bring to first class. 
  • Approximately 440 yards (100 grams) of fingering weight sock yarn
  • US 1.5 circular needle (or whatever size is necessary to achieve gauge), 32"/80cm 
  • Stitch markers x 2
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Students are given a 10% discount for supplies needed for class and any purchases at the shop during class days. 

Register early. Classes with fewer than three students will be canceled 72 hours before the start date, Participants will receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued for registration canceled 72 hours before class.
