Day Camp 2023
We have heard from some of you that you can't commit to three days. Some of you work on Friday, but could come on the weekend. Some of you have kids in sports on Saturday, but could come Friday. Some of you can't make the investment for three full days but would love to try out one day this year to see what the fuss is all about.
We are committed this year, to bring the fun of Sweater Camp to as many people as we possibly can. We are lucky to have room in the venue this year to be flexible!!

Sweater Camp Scholarships Available - SCHOLARSHIPS NOW CLOSED
We know that the registration price of camp is not economically possible for everyone. We have worked hard to find ways to offer more options for attendance. We are proud to offer several full scholarships in 2023 for people who might not otherwise be able to join. We especially welcome applications from people who are often underrepresented in the fiber community. Your scholarship status will be private.
The deadline for the Sweater Camp Scholarship application is Friday, August 26th. We will notify selected applicants by Sept 1st.
You can nominate a friend for this scholarship, but the friend must be aware of your nomination and must agree to be nominated.

Q & A about Epic Sweater Camp Retreat
Question:So in a nutshell, Sweater Camp is 3 days of knitting in unstructured groups listening to speakers, and perusing/buying yarn from vendors? I'm kinda interested, it sounds like people love it, but yet, I don't really understand it.
Answer:The simple answer is yep, you've got the basic idea. Three days of knitting or crochet with other awesome people. There are no formal, structured classes. And yes, we'll be talking to interesting people too. You can even ask questions of our guests if you have any.

---------------------------------
Question:
Do I have to make a sweater at Sweater Camp?
Answer:
Nope. You don't have to work on a sweater at all. You can work on a shawl, socks, hat, or sweater. Whatever. Lots of the presenters will be talking about sweater knitting, but you don't have to be a sweater knitter to enjoy it.

--------------------------------
Question:My friends and I are wondering if we have to work on something that we purchased from your shop during sweater camp?"Answer:Nope. We don't care where you buy what you bring. We love seeing your projects, even if they weren't purchased at our store. You are free to work with whatever yarn you want.

---------------------------------------
Question:I would have no one to go with...what's it like being a "loner" at this event?Answer:Great question! Many campers came alone to the first camp and returned for the next one. They have told us they plan on returning for the third. So it seems the "loners" found their people! Knitters are welcoming, we'll help you find your place.

----------------------------------------
Question:
How do I sign up for specific classes during camp?
Answer:
There aren't any classes at sweater camp. You sign up for Sweater Camp and you are included in all the programming!
---------------------------------------
Question:
Can I get help on my projects if I need help?
Answer:
Of course! We have a help desk (we call it the First Aid Station). Skilled knitters and crocheters are there to help if you need it. The room is FULL of amazingly talented fiber folks. Someone at your table might have your answer too!

---------------------------------------
Question:
I love that I can pay in installments. How does that work?
Answer:
We are happy to offer installment payments for Sweater Camp. We only ask for a $100 non-refundable down payment to reserve your spot and then the remainder of the fee, $475, is due by December 1st.
----------------------------------------
Question:
Is it best if I stay at a hotel in town?
Answer:
Most of our campers are from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, so many of them did choose to go home each evening. We are only 25 miles from Downtown St. Paul, so it's a pretty easy drive. Certainly, some people did stay in town and treated the weekend like a mini vacation! If you want to stay in town, click here and check out the options!
-----------------------------------------
Question:
I am wondering if I'd be able to register for 2 spots when registration opens, rather than one at a time individually. Can I reserve a spot for my friend and myself at the same time?
Answer:
We are only allowing one registration per person for camp this year. The system will allow you to purchase more than one spot, but we are asking campers to only register a spot for themselves. We want to keep the registration process as fair as possible. If you purchase more than one spot, we will refund you for the extra spots and you will only get 1 spot.
