In Person 1 Day Camp
We have heard from some of you that you can't commit to three days.
Some of you work on Friday, but could come on the weekend.
Some of you have kids in sports on Saturday, but could come Friday.
Some of you can't make the investment for three full days but would love to try out one day this year to see what the fuss is all about.
You'll enjoy all the same fun as the 3 Day Campers.
We are offering a robust virtual option for Epic Sweater Camp Retreat in 2026.
You'll have live access to all the same speakers and conversations with our experts, you'll get the same swag, you'll have access to the Camp Store, and you'll have a dedicated rotating cast from Team DKA facilitating the zoom webinar!
You'll get a live peek into the In Person Sweater Camp too!
Why choose the virtual option?
Traveling to Stillwater won't work for you.
199 other people in a room is just too much peopling for you:)
We get it!

Epic Sweater Camp Retreat
Q & A

Question:
Do I have to make a sweater at Sweater Camp?
Answer:
Nope. You don't have to work on a sweater at all. You can work on a shawl, socks, hat, or sweater. Whatever. Lots of the presenters will be talking about sweater knitting, but you don't have to be a sweater knitter to enjoy it.

Question:
I would have no one to go with...what's it like being a "loner" at this event?
Answer:
Great question! Many campers came alone to the first camp and returned for the next one. They have told us they plan on returning for the third. So it seems the "loners" found their people! The fiber community is welcoming, we'll help you find your place.

Question:
How do I sign up for specific classes during camp?
Answer:
There aren't any classes at sweater camp. You sign up for Sweater Camp and you are included in all the programming!
Question:Is it best if I stay at a hotel in town?
Answer:
Most of our campers are from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, so many of them did choose to go home each evening. We are only 25 miles from Downtown St. Paul, so it's a pretty easy drive. Certainly, some people did stay in town and treated the weekend like a mini vacation! If you want to stay in town, click here and check out the options!
So in a nutshell, Sweater Camp is 3 days of knitting in unstructured groups listening to virtual speakers, and perusing/buying yarn from vendors? I'm kinda interested, it sounds like people love it, but yet, I don't really understand it.
Answer:
The simple answer is yep, you've got the basic idea. Three days of knitting or crochet with other awesome people. There are no formal, structured classes. And yes, we'll be talking to interesting people too. You can even ask questions of our guests if you have any.

Question:
My friends and I are wondering if we have to work on something that we purchased from your shop during sweater camp?"
Answer:
Nope. We don't care where you buy what you bring. We love seeing your projects, even if they weren't purchased at our store. You are free to work with whatever yarn you want.

Question:
Can I get help on my projects if I need help?
Answer:
Of course! We have a help desk (we call it the First Aid Station). Skilled knitters and crocheters are there to help if you need it. The room is FULL of amazingly talented fiber folks. Someone at your table might have your answer, too!
