Founder, Aimee Pelletier grew up crafting with her English grandmother during school vacations, but it wasn’t until later in life that she became serious about needle arts. Soon, knitting became a calming activity and valuable creative outlet for Aimee, a mother of two kids. Now, as Aimee begins her 6th year as a shop owner, she’s excited to have created a place where others can find a creative outlet, friendship, and community. Her Ravelry name is ‘darnknitanyway’.
Resident artist Carly Stipe has been with Darn Knit Anyway since the idea was but a twinkle in her cousin Aimee’s eye. Carly is an established fiber artist, most recognized for her duct tape creations that sold in boutiques throughout the Twin Cities. She has also been an educator at the Textile Center in St. Paul and the Phipps in Hudson. This mother of three enjoys spinning and creating patterns too!
