Darn Knit Anyway is your source for unique yarns and textiles, handmade gifts, craft accessories and sewing machines, as well as a place that is dedicated to providing a creative outlet for novice crafters and local artists alike. Stock up on supplies, browse for gifts, try a class project, or just hang out in our lounge to work on a project and chat with friends.
Founder, Aimee Pelletier grew up crafting with her English grandmother during school vacations, but it wasn’t until later in life that she became serious about needle arts. Soon, knitting became a calming activity and valuable creative outlet for Aimee, a mother of two kids. She started making things and was pleasantly surprised when she was approached by people to buy them. Now, as Aimee begins her 4th year as a shop owner, she’s excited to have created a place where others can find a creative outlet, friendship, and community.
Jennifer Krueger joined the Darn Knit Anyway team as an owner in October 2012! Jennifer brings years of knitting experience, having learned while abroad as a kid in Austria. Jennifer also brings a business background to the shop, and some much needed organization! Jennifer is a busy mom of three.
Resident artist Carly Stipe joins Jennifer and Aimee as an established fiber artist, most recognized for her duct tape creations that sold in boutiques throughout the Twin Cities. She has also been an educator at the Textile Center in St. Paul and the Phipps in Hudson. This mother of three enjoys creating pattern too!
