Darn Knit Anyway is your source for unique yarns and textiles, handmade gifts, craft accessories and sewing machines, as well as a place that is dedicated to providing a creative outlet for novice crafters and local artists alike. Stock up on supplies, browse for gifts, try a class project, or just hang out in our lounge to work on a project and chat with friends.

Owner Aimee Pelletier grew up crafting with her English grandmother during school vacations,  but it wasn’t until later in life that she became serious about needle arts.  Soon, knitting became a calming activity and valuable creative outlet for Aimee, a mother of two kids. She started making things and was pleasantly surprised when she was approached by people to buy them. Now, as Aimee begins her second career as a shop owner, she’s excited to create a place where others can find a creative outlet, friendship, and community.

Resident artist Carly Stipe joins her cousin Aimee in making the boutique and education program the best in the Twin Cities. Carly is an established fiber artist, most recognized for her duct tape creations selling in boutiques throughout the Twin Cities. She is also an educator at the Textile Center in St. Paul. The mother of three enjoys assembling beautiful projects from unusual materials.
